The Spanish Federation of Oncology Societies (FESEO) is seeking candidates for the position of Editor-in-Chief for Clinical & Translational Oncology Journal. The Editor-in-Chief’s three-year term will begin in early 2015. This role is eligible for no-stipend and only reimbursement for journal-related travel will be available.
The journal is published for FESEO by Springer Verlag, which maintains a significant online presence for the journal and an excellent relationship with FESEO
The Editor-in-Chief will be responsible for assembling a team of Associate Editors, providing rapid and efficient peer-review publications on innovative cancer treatments or translational work related to oncology and precision medicine, and overseeing the annual publication of twelve issues of high-quality original research, reviews, editorials, policy papers, position statements and case reports. Increasing its impact factor, royalties and economic sustainability are relevant endpoints to achieve.
Candidates must be recognized scientists with a background in cancer research and active members of any of the FESEO societies (ASEICA, SEOM, SEOP, SEOQ, SEOR). Candidates must be able to write, review and edit scientific texts in English to a high level.
